guitar (gibson,ibanez and washburn)
gibson-
The Gibson Guitar Corporation had its beginnings in 1894 when Orville Gibson started making mandolins. It was here that Gibson established himself as an innovative instrument builder because he started making mandolins differently than how they were made. The end result of his modifications was that the mandolin sounded better and had more depth. Sadly, Gibson passed away in 1918 so he was unable to witness the widespread success of the Gibson guitars.
ibanez - Ibanez electric guitars have received quite a following, but a lot of people do not realize that their acoustic line is also well made and sounds great. The company started in 1900 under a different name by Hoshino Gaki in Japan. Though the company began at the turn of the 20th century, they did not start making guitars until 1935.
washburn - Washburn Guitars has been making instruments for over 120 years. They started in 1883 in Chicago, Illinois, the site of their very first factory near Maxwell Street. Years later, Maxwell Street will become known as a hub for music so the Washburn Guitars factory was in a great location.
